Inktober 2021, Day 30: Slither

Expelliarmus! Day 30 arrived with the theme - slither. Rowling was canceled recently for a lot of shit, but she also created my favorite fantasy universe. As a kid, I struggled with reading books until Harry Potter. It captivated my imagination and pulled me into the story unlike anything before. And how could it not? When everything is possible by the touch of magic!

I never grew out of it either, and later found role-playing, story writing forums dedicated to the universe, where you could create a character and study at Hogwarts! People have been playing for years and graduated from the famous magic school many times. It might seem a silly waste of time, but at the same time, people waste their time in a lot more lame ways. At least here, people are being creative and working on their writing skills.

I thought it would be cool to draw a character for this world.

Greetings! My name is Aurora. I am a 6th-year student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Sorted in the house Slytherin. I am particularly interested in Transfigurations and Potions. I recently turned my pet snake into a cute and warm scarf. He is fine and doesn’t mind, don’t worry...

_{The process}

I used the Pigma brush pen for most of this artwork - linework, the hat, and the cape. Of course, her hair needed to be purple! It perfectly complemented her pet snake scarf. I used the Diamine purple drawing ink for the hair and the Diamine fountain pen ink Sherwood Green for the scarf with the Diamine Jet Black diamine ink for the grey/silvery bits. As the background, I set the Aurora Borealis vibes using the Sherwood Green as well. For her face, I used a mixture of two inks. They were the Diamine fountain pen ink Autumn Oak and the Diamine drawing ink Ruby color. And finally, I used the Sakura Gelly Roll liner for the stars on the hat, the background, and other details.
