Dark Tide - Original poem

Caught in the rip dark tide
He flowed seaward, hoping to escape,
Floating aimlessly in to the sea of sins.

The days seemed years
The years seemed decades
Time fused with his memories.

There was no law or rule
No guideline or boundaries
In the endless sea.

In the darkness of the night
Offsprings of his wicked mind
Slowly, slowly all crawled out.

Mermaids, Circe and Maenads
Loved, teased and seized him
All nursed sins of the flesh.

Countless times he tried
To find the way back
To the place where he had docked.

Wrecked and adrift
One day he reached
An unknown sandy beach.
