Ode to Pizza

Thoughts of joy then left my mind
And the time came that my stomach rumbled
hunger set in and my mouth grumbled
I needed something to end the coming grief
Something savory and full of flavorful relief
Where is this joy I seek to find?

The greatest shape it must take to give me pleasure
It must be round and covered in cheese
Tomato sauce too now if you please
With spicy pepperoni such that is a hidden treasure

I found you fresh out the oven!
And now I devour with mindless abandon
The roof of my mouth burns but I won't be saddened
Fill me with warmth and more greasy lovin'
On your own you are complete
But still a beer to cool the teeth
