Under the mango tree, she found sanctuary. City noise faded, replaced by birdsong and breeze. Here, worries shrunk to dust in the shade. Joy curled up in her lap with the neighbourhood cat. For a moment, the world couldn’t find her. Tomorrow would come, but today, she owned her peace.
