Splinterlands Art Contest // Week 229 // 3D Card Manticore

Hello!, this time I bring another card of the dragon type, working on the background of this model once I finish it, I had some doubts and wanted to do something more striking but since I have already had a few days with the model I preferred to finish it with a ruin type.

I really liked this model since I had not made a beast for a few days since I usually work more models in a human form, due to the shape of this letter I thought at first that it was a chimera until I saw its name, make the parts of the body and the scorpion tail I think it was the parts of the model that I liked to work the most, each time I improve a little more with each model that I work with.

• Carved Model Block:

This is the base block of the model so that later, once I have the shape, I do a retopology to simplify the weight of the model when working on the renders with the program.

• Textures in ArmorPaint:

Here I had some problems since when I applied a new texture to the model when I was finishing an error appeared that closed the program and it was strange since the saved file did not reach 200MB, I use up to 800MB, I had to open the same model file in another window to finish the missing parts.

Testing the lights for the render since I am using another background HDRi and fixing the dark background that had some reflections.

And the final result of the render, as always I liked the result of the finished models since it has improved a lot since I started participating regularly in splinterlands 😊
