24 HOURS TO LIVE
Facing the reality of having only 24 hours to live can be really scary. Imagine being told that you only have a short time left to enjoy life ,it’s not something anyone wants to hear. This reminds us of how powerful the supreme being is, controlling our lives and when they will end.
If I knew I had just one day left, I would not feel calm or relaxed. I would want to fix things and get ready for the end.
The initial hours of the last day, I would reply old text and share the stories of my challenges and how I scale through them so as to serve as motivation or an encouragement for those threading the same path as me. Then, I would delete all my social media accounts starting from Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram except WhatsApp.
What is also important is making up with people I have had problems with. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding our departure, I would extend my heartfelt apologies where it’s necessary, convey feelings of affection to those deserving and ensuring there no hatred left in me towards them and vice versa.
Given my role as a business owner, I would utilize some moments to make some calculation of my dealings. Reminding those who are owing me to pay up and most importantly, ensuring all my debt is paid off, if not totally, I’ll share a contact of my next of kin with those I could not pay off. Clearing off debt is necessary because it is not something good to be reminded of.
I would have love to watch a favorite movie too but I do not enjoy watching movies when my heart is troubled. Instead, I would spend time with my family and not act in a way to make the suspicious of anything to avoid heartbreak.
After that, I would want some time alone, pray for forgiveness, read holy books, think and be ready for what comes next. Those last moments would be about being peaceful and accepting.
