yeS, there are quite a few countries who report TOTAL MORTALITY (numbers that are impossible to fake) BELOW EXPECTED MORTALITY (based on previous five years of TOTAL MORTALITY) in the time between when their first 50 cases were reported and NOW.

CDC.GOV confirmed the updated age-specific survival rates: 0-19 years old, 99.997 percent; 20-49 years old, 99.98 percent; 50-69 years, 99.5 percent; and 70 years old or older, 94.6 percent.

When there's drugs, doctors, hospital beds, and ventilators available a disease has to be pretty fucking deadly to actually kill someone. The problem is that, particularly in western nations, we have aging populations which means our healthcare systems are already being pushed to their breaking point.

A sudden influx of a few thousand desperately ill and highly infectious people per town/city is something our healthcare systems simply aren't prepared for, especially if this happens across an entire country so you can't move stabilized patients to facilities in other regions because they're already over capacity.

When a potentially deadly pandemic breaks out it's not the disease itself that's the most dangerous thing, it's people getting desperate when they're getting turned away from hospitals. How angry would you be if your parents and/or children are potentially dying and you just got told the public healthcare you're paying for with your tax dollars isn't available?

What happens when you're got a lot of scared desperate people and going out into society comes with the risk of being infected with a deadly disease, what if your occupation is public facing like a cashier at a supermarket, is minimum wage really worth risking your life?

What happens when essential workers stop working?

The disease itself isn't nearly as dangerous as the breakdown of society it could potentially cause.
