Walk along the RIVER in SNOWY Sollefteå SWEDEN 🇸🇪 and the search for a CROCODILE 🐊 in the snow ⛄️ ~ WednesdayWalk

Hi all 👋🏻😊

Join me today as we walk along a very #snowy PATH ALONG THE RIVER in search of a CROCODILE. 🐊 Yes, you read that right… crocodiles in the #SNOW ⛄️
😁 Curious… come along, there is lots to see. I take you to the beautiful TOWN of SOLLEFTEÅ in SWEDEN. 🇸🇪
I visited this place when I was staying in the Airbnb I have been sharing here the last week 😊

As you can see it is a large river….
Zooming out you see where in Sweden this town is located.

Before we start our walk we have to drive first to the town of Sollefteå 🚗 I take you along in the car… as the views were stunning too 😁

Leaving the Airbnb we see the blue sky and the winter landscape around us. The fresh snow is so beautiful ⛄️❄️☃️ This was last February so still very much #WINTER.

The roads we drive over are icy 🥶 ❄️

Some of the trees along the road are white too, very icy and covered with snow.

A t-junction… with directions. Left or right?

We drive past fields covered in snow. The hay bales wrapped in plastic. Makes for a pretty sight.

Rolling hills in the distance 😊

We see the sign for Sollefteå 26 km to go 🚗🚗🚗

The landscape is beautiful, we are already driving along the river we will walk along later…

Beautiful church buildings ⛪️

A house on the hill, I like its colors. The red sticks on both road sides/ along the road… guiding you when the snow is too high… where the road is.

Entering Sollefteå town 👋🏻😊

Some nice cabins on the right, overlooking the valley.

A ski station on the side of the mountain 🏔️ ⛷️ if you look closely 😊

Driving over the Ångermanälven river…

We parked the car, let’s wrap up very warm as it is -12 degrees Celsius outside 🧤🧣 (the car we brought back to Ireland in the last months… bye bye car)

We went for a quick walk into the town to have some lunch 🥗
It was lovely….
We saw another Classic Car 🚗

Heading back to the park next to the river. We look at the beautiful town 😊

The little side river of the large river is covered in ice and meters of snow. We look over the railing…

Crossing the road we enter the larger park… looking right and left 😎

A few little statues, the snow is toooo deep to walk towards it, I tried hahaha 🤣

The little river has more bridges going over 😊

We follow it through a beautiful park 🌳🌲

We see the large river now. Where the bridge goes over it.

We tried to walk through the snow towards the larger path so we can reach the wide river, that was “a no go” hahaha we need to find the path a bit further along 😇 so we have solid ground under our feet 🦶🏻I did see…. Something though 😁

We see some ducks 🦆 sleeping… we try not to disturb them and walk further around.

We walked a bit further and see the beautiful riverside 😊 some #reflections of the buildings in the water. A few brave ducks 🦆 ❄️

Finally we made it onto the other path. Off the path the snow is very fluffy and deep.

There is a large tree, suddenly I see more ducks. Fully protected from the weather… the boulders do help. Do you see the ducks? Yes, I know it is hard to see with the sun and shadows 🦆🦆🦆 they are there 😊

A little bit further I stop 😎 what do I see now?

A CROCODILE 🐊 IN THE SNOW ❄️

Hahaha what a sight 😁 so funny 😆

We head back to the car now after our walk as it is getting throughly cold 🥶 the days are short and we still have to drive back over icy roads. We do this rather when it is still light…
Sollefteå is a cute town, I will show you more from the town itself one day. So stay tuned….
If you are ever in the area. Do visit 😊 I really recommend it in any season.
