My Silvery Name for the SilverBloggers Community.

Me photographing in Malta where I lived for a year

I found your community and joined a couple of weeks ago, but I have not found the time to post here yet and introduce myself properly to all of you #silverbloggers.

I want to change that with this first post here in the community.

But first: MY SILVERY NAME!
As This Post describes, let’s start with a Name.
I completed step 1 and 2.

I would like to be called “Jackie’s Silver Art”

Step 3 and 4 next.

I’m Jackie and on this earth since September 1978.
What qualifies me with my 43 years into the Silver Bloggers community. And a few grey hairs to go along 😉
Happy to be here and to jump right in.

A little bit about myself.
I was born in France where I lived with my parents for about 2 years. Of course I have no recollection of this, other then a few photographs that prove I was there… in France in the province of Cher in the late seventies.

Photo taken by my mother, in the truck of my father. He was an international truck driver. I grew up in it, as my mother would go along some times on long journeys. And in my parents stories they always said; I only ate when the motor of the truck was running. Hahaha what could be funny at times 😊 I so can imagine.

My parents liked to move around a lot, for work reasons. So we ended up in Germany after France. My first spoken language was German, ( I can’t recall what my parents spoke at home ) I went to “kindergarten” there / the primary school. Until I was about 6 years old.
My parents are Dutch and German but there is also family in France on my fathers side.

After that we moved to The Netherlands. I had to start speaking Dutch, which I remember was quite funny the first year in school as I only spoke German.
But as most will know, children are at that age sponges and will transfer quickly into a new language.

Little fast forward…
In the Netherlands I moved out of my parents place when I was 16 years old.
I lived for about 28 years total in the Netherlands before I emigrated to Spain in 2015. This story I keep for later as it was quite an adventure. 😎

This was a little back story about me and where I grew up. After over 30 moves including 5 country moves (I lost count to be honest) I am a traveler… a wanderer most of my live. And still are, as I have not found where I want to settle down. I think I have no roots in the places I lived before.
I know I will move this year again… planning it since last October. But this time it will be a big one 😊

But you must be thinking now, why did you choose the name “Jackie’s Silver Art” and not something else. “Like traveler or wanderer”

So I can’t repeat myself and I hope you will take the time to read it and join me back here after. 😊

Art just changed my live, it saved me… literally.
So I do identify myself more with creating art than anything else at this moment. It had such an impact on my adult life, it is number 1 in how I look at myself.

I love creating art and showing the world my creations. I started with my art in 2011 as you could read in my other post.
Although there are long breaks in creating since then, because of moves, life changes etc. I keep creating… art, photography, being creative with decorations in the house, like making my wedding bouquet last week, building furniture as you can also read in my older posts. Or just refurbishing furniture.
It is me… creating Art on many many different levels now.

My “new me” after the “technical me” and “moving around a lot me”.

Therefor my Silvery Name will be: Jackie’s Silver Art.
