Breaking: Nicolás Maduro reelected president of Venezuela

The Venezuelan National Electoral Council has released the first bulletin on the result of the presidential elections, awarding victory to Nicolás Maduro with 51.23% of the electoral turnout in his favor, while opposition candidate Edmundo González would have obtained 44.2%. The difference in votes reported is of more than 704 thousand votes, with the Chavista leader surpassing 5 million votes. By way of justification for the tense delay in the communication of the bulletin, the President of the National Electoral Council referred to a presumed sabotage against the system of transmission of the voting records, which will surely be an element that will stain with (more) doubt and suspicion the already controversial Venezuelan electoral process. Opposition denounced many irregularities that I will be sharing in a more detailed post later. This is just beginning I think.
