This one we could start with BREAKING NEWS tag — yesterday, we had a report that Baghdad airport was closed due to rocket attack. This morning the news strike like a thunderbolt: that rocket attack was actually an American helicopter strike in which Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was assassinated. What will be the consequences?
Soleimani was not any General. He was one of the most powerful men in Iran and practically right hand of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who vowed “severe retaliation” against the assassins.

Furthermore, General Qassem Soleimani was a leader of the Iran’s Revolutionary Guards’ elite Quds force — which was the most effective fighting force on the ground against the Islamic State and its offshoots in Iraq and Syria, just like the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif pointed out in his tweet:
Iran cannot perceive this anything else but an act of war. Having Pentagon and Trump (who BTW tweeted an American flag commenting the event) openly at the side of ISIS terrorists, opens the way for retaliation against American embassies and bases all over the region. It’s an escalation that can easily grow into the blockade of Hormuz straits, crashing World economy. So, why this foolish escalation?
Iran will have to retaliate. If they do not, they will not look serious and that could endanger the Iranian government. On the other side of the World, despite the U.S. “Democrats” have, as expected, condemned Trump's move, they are glowing with satisfaction and will not do a thing to stop Trump. The reasons are obvious: in this case, Trump is going perfectly in line with their Neoliberal Globalist agenda, in the interests of their Wall Street masters. Imagine that: Trump’s action is an obvious violation of International Law and U.S. Constitution, over which he could be easily impeached, but now “Democrats” has completely forgotten about it. It would be really naive to blame it on Pelosi’s dementia. And in case the situation grows really terrible, it will be easy to accuse Trump for everything. It’s a win-win situation for them.
The war is already burning in a great part of Africa and all over Middle East, at the territory greater than Europe. It is a World War. The big corporations, which are driving U.S. Government, have made an explosive mess in Mediterranean, where Turkey is sending troops in Libya, in direct opposition to Israel and Greece interests over the gas sources discovered around Cyprus. That gas becomes highly flammable. And with Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan — and now Iran in flames, could you bet on peaceful 2020?
