Thanks to V2g (vehicle to grid) protokol, Leaf owners will be able to charge the car at night at a lower price of electricity, and through the day, when demand and price are higher, to send it back to the grid.

Of course, first you have to have an infrastructure (read: Germany first), but it will soon spread all over.

Depending on how much one like to drive, Leaf owners will in theory be able to drive almost free, because the price of electricity should cover the difference between the electricity consumed and sold.

Nissan's electric vehicles use the CHAdeMO charging standard, while European car manufacturers prefer CCS (Combined Charging System). Given the increasing popularity of electric vehicles and the explosive growth of this market, in the near future standardization is expected of one type of charger, although CCS is already capable of the V2g protocol.
