I still live in my pajamas and it has never affected my work ethic - or work.

But - I had a guy show up for a date, wearing a Versace suit after a business meeting - and I was in awe a bit.

They don't make the man but the do make a difference. Guess it depends what you are trying to convey as always.

Hey - an ex-girlfriend geek also went to a big corporate meeting wearing black leather biker pants and she got the gig. I guess tech people can get away with being more edgy.
