[Video Games] Kerbal Space Program Mods for the Enlightened
Kerbal Space Program recently had an excellent expansion release, but since the beginning it has also had a fantastic mod community. Running down the best mods for KSP is always fun. #videogames #KSP #kerbalscience

It's been a long time since I managed to get something put over here, but the time has come in the time is right.
I took a little bit of a break during May to take care of some personal issues, and that was probably a bad idea since writing for Strategy Gamer provides a little extra fun money for buying video games. You may have noticed that there was a charming little tradeshow called E3 going on this last week and during the lead up it seemed like every game storefront in the world was running an exotic, over-the-top sale.
Which was amazing, don't get me wrong. But the timing, man, the timing!
KSP has always been one of my favorite videogame constructs, and I can't really refer to it as a singular game because of the massive modding community that has been there from what seems like day one. You can get mods which change the experience and radical, extreme ways – from adding entire sensor suites for satellites to inflatable habitations and literally everything in between. The experience is dynamic and responds to whatever the community feels like doing at the moment.
Out of all of the mods described in this article, I think my favorite is Telemachus, which gives you the ability to turn your living room into Mission Control with the addition of a big screen TV and a web browser. It is a surprisingly immersive experience and one which, if you have even the slightest curiosity, you should give a try.
Hopefully I'm back on the horse when it comes to writing and will see a few more things coming out for me in the future.
