Lunch Time With Friends

Met with @thepeakstudio and @giftylefty today and decided to have a lunch together at a nearby restaurant. We ordered our food and until that gets served, we decided to have a cup of milk tea. The dish in the above photo is Chicken Pakora/pakauda. Though I had this food for the first time, the taste wasn't any different or new to me. Only the outer crunchy part tastes a bit different. The chicken is marinated by mixing chick peas flour with other spices like salt, turmeric, ginger/garlic paste, cumin powder and so on. Then it is deep fried in oil for sometimes.

This unique food was also my first try. This is an American based popular street food known as corn dog. This one is basically a sausage or hot dog pierced in a sharp stick, then dipped in a corn flour batter and then deep fried in oil. After it is taken out, a mayonnaise is poured from the top. The taste is unique due to the use of corn batter.
