Slow and steady wins the race

Who does not know the proverb. "Slow and steady wins the race" or "Quietly go - you'll be further from where you're going". Proverbs have different meanings. First, we will examine the second proverb. It is logical to assume that its meaning was that you need to spend more hours on the way to your destination.
If we talk about another sense, then in any case the other proverb is more appropriate: "It's too fast to go, not soon to reach".
The proverb "Slow and steady wins the race" has a slightly different meaning. And I will now prove it with the help of physics.
To go is to do the work, using the energy stored in the fuel or in the batteries, if the electric car, or in the food ate the horse. I will prove that with the same amount of fuel, you can go a different distance.
Formulas:
W = maS**
or S=W/(ma)*
W is the energy, m is the mass of the body, S is the distance traveled, and a is the acceleration.
It can be seen from the formula that the distance (distance traveled) has an inverse dependence on the acceleration.

  1. The acceleration is a.
  2. The acceleration is 2*a (twice as fast).
    We have a lot of weight. And the energy that we can use is constant, since there is the same amount of fuel in both cases.
    Substituting our variants of accelerations into the formula, we get that by accelerating twice less, we will go twice as much.
    The conclusion is quieter, you will go a long way on the same amount of fuel. It's not difficult to determine if you have a car. Less gas, longer we go at one gas station.
    But it is worth noting that winning in distance we lose in time. And if we need to overcome a very long way, and we will save fuel, move very slowly, it may be that our life is not enough to reach the final point. This is possible when flying in space.
