LeoGlossary: Posting key (Hive)

On the Hive blockchain, the posting key is a private key which allows one to engage with writing to the chain. However, there are no permissions granted for coin related activities. To operate at this level, the active key is required.

Activities that are granted with the posting key:

• Leaving comments
• Placing blog posts (articles) on the blockchain
• Voting content as a curator

In other words, anything to do with the wallet is not permissioned with the posting key. Nor is it applicable to governance activities.
