Payroll is the compensation that a company owes its employees over a certain period of time. Most businesses pay every two weeks although some are weekly or twice per month.
This can also apply to the company's records of payments previously made to employees. It can include:
- salary/wages
- bonuses
- taxes withheld
It also can detail how the payments made to the company's department that deals with compensation.
