LeoGlossary: Mempool
A collection of verified and submitted transactions that are awaiting confirmation by the nodes (computers) on the blockchain network such as Bitcoin.
If the pool is full, that means network traffic is heavy. This causes transactions to back up until new blocks are created.
Under this scenario, miners will choose which transactions to process first.
