LeoGlossary: Exit Scam
An exit scam is basically accepting money and then disappearing.
Traditionally this was sellers accepting payments and not shipping the product. People often do not realize they are funneling money into a business that already disappeared.
In cryptocurrency this refers to early investors pulling out their funds. This leaves later entrants as the bagholders.
These are part of a larger pump and dump.
