Thank you all for checking out part one and the time leading up to the wedding. We left off on last Tuesday evening and today we are going to look at last Wednesday the big day.

The first step oasen the agenda was to go to Dzigbordi's family house for me and my family to present the presents to the family for the bride price. These were all packed in a bag and presented to the family.
2 Crates of beer
2 Clothes for the Mother
1 Mans Ewe Kente Cloth for the Father
2 Bottles of Schnapps
Envelope with some cash for the parents
Envelope with some Cash for the brothers
A ring
My dad has a video of when her farther had her kneel in front of me and blessed our marriage but I do not have any good picture of this part of it from my own phone. This part was a little rushed because we wanted to get to the court house by 10am.
We snapped a selfie together with Dzigbordi's niece during the drive to the court.
Dzigbordi's mother waiting patiently.
We got to the court house around 9:30am and then a lot of waiting ensued. Even though we had prepared everything before hand and paid for everything plus a little more the judge was busy with something else and another couple went ahead of us.
Dzigbordi's father and guys chatting while waiting.
When we finally got in front of the judge and I was getting a good look at the marriage certificate I could see there was a problem with my name. They put my first, last and then middle name. And everyone else name was correct. This caused some alarm and I brought it up. After they tried to seriously blame me for this as the judge said we just need resolution so they should go back and type it. From there it was another hour until we got things going again.
All of our parents signed as witnesses.
We sat patiently throughout. We then exchanged our vows and rings.
Everything was said and done around 2 and then we proceeded to take a number of photos outside the court. This was one of our parents together.
Us with our marriage certificate. The judge reminded us that even though we had the traditional engagement now with the court wedding I could not take other wives.
From the courthouse we went back to the family house to enjoy ourselves, eat and have a get together with additional family and some of their friends.
This of course did turn into some drinking and dancing too and there are videos but those will have to come out another time. The videos from my phone are only playing audio on my computer so I have to figure out something there.
After a while we went back to the hotel to relax and then had dinner with her parents that night.
Part 3 is coming this is where we had one last party with our Accra friends at the beach resort on Saturday.
