POBPhotocontest: Deadly in pink
These are the pink, pretty and eye catching flowers of Adenium obessum, commonly known as desert rose, impala lily and mock azalea and often mistakenly identified as kalachuchi in the Philippines. However, beyond the beauty of this plant lies a dark reputation from within as utmost care and proper handling must be observed in raising this plant due to its very toxic characteristics in fact, the sap of this plant that is native to the Sahel regions south of the Sahara tropical and subtropical eastern and southern Africa and also the Arabian Peninsula are used by certain tribes in Africa to lace fheir arrows with poison that is very potent because one drop of the sap is said to be enough to kill a large mature elephant.
This is my entry to @friendlymoose's Proof Of Brain Challenge for this week featuring the colour PINK.
