Mel Gibson's The Resurrection of Christ Split into Two Films

Release dates below:

Part 1 will be on Good Friday, March 26, 2027

Part 2 will be on Ascension Day, May 6, 2027 (which is 40 days later)

Here's the Details:
The story will not just be the resurrection, but also theological themes like the fall of angels, Sheol, hell and other supernatural elements.

The original Cast members including Monica Belluci, Maia Morgenstern and Jim Caviezel (Jesus) will return but but they will use Digital de-ageing and makeup to maintain continuity with the original 2004 film.

The Filming started in March 2025 across Italy, Mexico, and Malta.
and will be distributed by Lionsgate, produced by Gibson’s Icon Productions.
