DYMYSTFYING HOW SPLINTERLANDS GAME APPEARS TO US

• In the Battle, your team is playing against the opponent's team.

• Your team consists of 1 Summoner and 1 to 6 Monsters, which are in form of cards.

• The aim is to defeat the opponent's Monsters. Which means all his or her cards will be knocked out while yours will be left standing (maybe 1 card or all).

UNDERSTANDING THE DETAILS OF THE GAME

Every game has:

• a Combat Rule
• Mana Cap
• and Available Splinters

COMBAT RULE

• The combat rule tells us the rules of the game.
• For beginners, you'll always see Standard rule.
• For the Standard rule, there's no modifications to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics. Everything is the same.
• But from Bronze 2 upwards, you'll get different rules.

MANA CAP

• Every card has a mana level attached to it, both the Summoner and the Monsters.
• Mana cap simply means that the total amount of mana of all your cards should not exceed the specified mana cap of the game.

SPLINTERS

• There are 6 Primal forces in Splinterlands: Fire, Earth, Dragon, Death, Life and Water.
• The Summoners and Monsters are from one of these 6 forces.
• If you use a Summoner from a primal force, then your Monsters will come from the same primal force.
• However, we have Monsters who are neutral, they can be summoned by any Summoner.

Having considered the Combat of the Game, Mana Cap and Available Splinters, remember that you have only 3 minutes to do all your selections and strategies.

CREATING YOUR TEAM

Create your team based on the Combat rules, Mana cap and selected Splinter.

CHOOSING YOUR SUMMONER

In creating your team, the first thing you do is to select your SUMMONER.

Here are what to consider in choosing your Summoner:

• Consider the Primal Force: fire, water, earth, Dragon... etc
• Consider the mana of the Summoner, based on the mana cap of the game.
• Consider the ability/style of the Summoner

CHOOSING YOUR MONSTERS

Next is choosing your Monster, and this is where you need to consider a whole lot:

• Consider the Mana Cap
• Consider the health
• Consider the Speed
• Consider the kind of attack and the attack effect
• Consider the Kinds of Attack
• • Melee Attack
• • Magic Attack
• • Ranged Attack
• Consider the style

CHOOSING YOUR LINE-UP

SO FROM ALL WEVE LEARNT, HOW DO WE CONSIDER THE STRATEGY TO USE IN
CHOOSING YOUR PLAYERS FOR LINE UP?

Consider the following tips:

• Make sure your first 2 or 3 cards are short range attackers.
• Do not use only long range attackers at that first line up.
• Your first card should have good health (5 and above),
• speed (3 is nice, minimum of 2),
• shield if possible and
• special style will be helpful.
