My name is ksam and welcome to Pukumundo week 24. The theme of the week is La Voz Cantate.

Hola mi familia y comunidad de Pukumundo. Mi nombre es ksam y bienvenidos a Pukumundo semana veinticuatro. El tema de la semana es La Voz Cantate.

For this week, I'll be playing the Traditional Christian Song titled Blessed Assurance. However, instead of playing it the Traditional way, I'll play it in the Jazz Standard style.

By the way, Rock musical genre has its roots in Jazz music (and a mixture of other Genres). So, we can say that these two mighty Genres have some degree of similarities between them, although they are obviously different from each other.

Para esta semana, tocaré la canción cristiana tradicional titulada Blessed Assurance. Sin embargo, en lugar de tocarla a la manera tradicional, la tocaré al estilo del Jazz Standard.

Por cierto, el género musical Rock tiene sus raíces en la música Jazz (y una mezcla de otros Géneros). Por lo tanto, podemos decir que estos dos poderosos Géneros tienen cierto grado de similitudes entre ellos, aunque obviamente son diferentes entre sí.

The choice of this song is borne out from my ardent desire to always remind myself of my place in God's kingdom which was made possible by Christ's wondrous paschal mysteries with its high point being his Crucifixion and death on the Cross. This singular act of love won my (our) Salvation. So I hope you enjoy this piece (don't mind my voice 😜 I'm still learning how to sing).

La elección de esta canción nace de mi ardiente deseo de recordar siempre mi lugar en el reino de Dios, que fue posible gracias a los maravillosos misterios pascuales de Cristo, cuyo punto culminante fue su Crucifixión y muerte en la Cruz. Este singular acto de amor ganó mi (nuestra) salvación. Así que espero que disfrutes de esta pieza (no te preocupes por mi voz 😜 todavía estoy aprendiendo a cantar).

I remember playing a different version of Blessed Assurance with the Saxophone alongside @ few months ago, you can check the post here. However, here is the video below... I've missed playing Saxophone 😭😭😭

However, the Jazz version I played, I remember trying to score the guitar chordal harmony version about a year ago. I think I was able to "attempt" it then...

So when I settled on playing this piece, I just adopted something easier that will flow well. If I had seen this video again before making this piece, I'm sure I would have added some other... you'know 😜
