Polygon Modelling - Light Healer Inspired
Hi guys, welcome to my page. I did something exceptional today, something outside of the usual and known niche. I tried Polygon modelling today. So I created this light healer object by manipulating and transforming vertices, surfaces, and edges using lines, points and faces with the aid of extrusion, scaling etc.
The first thing I did was introduce a basic shape to the workspace and the the shape I introduced was a cone. I used the transform tool to scale the shape and size, made it a bit flat, duplicated it, then I rotated to the different angles I wanted them, that is in four directions. I then joined those duplicated layers together to create a single object, I subdivided to create more meshes, this way I could easily extrude the faces that I needed to extrude to create those openings.
You can see my work steps below to understand better these processes that I have just explained in photos.
Step By Step Processes
I think engineers and architects use this software more and similar others to work on their projects. What do you think?
I could use it later on in the future to create other technical stuff, I just wanted to give it a try first, although this software is limited by a lot of things and has limited features too.
With time I will explore other options and hopefully I get to settle for a much better and friendly one. Thanks for stopping by today!
