Shape optimisation

You wonder why things around you has only that particular shape. Because they are the structures obtained from shape optimisation. Shape optimisation is nothing but finding out optimal shape with minimum weight satisfying strength constraints.

We use shape optimisation in designing our car for minimising total weight. This tool is also used by many other formula Student teams.
