“Rainbow Blue Jay”

I drew this blue jay and digitally colored it. Literally, blue jay is blue but I just wanted to put a rainbow color on it.

I hear them almost all the time. They usually call “Jay, Jay.” I often see them. They are very curious birds. They often approach me quickly and sit near me on the tree branches. I feel close to them because I feel so. Whenever I spend time in nature, they reach me.

Their colors are amazingly beautiful. Mostly blue, white, black, and gray some of the spots. Every time when I find their feathers, I feel special. They move very quick, it’s hard to take a picture of them but I sometimes am able to take their pictures. When they fly, they look like a rainbow because their body reflects nature colors. That’s why I colored a rainbow for my sketch.

My husband often says,
“No rain no rainbows.” and his friend commented to my drawing,
“No rain no rainbow blue jays.”

It’s hard to stay positive nowadays because many things are happening everywhere all over the world. I really hope that our future is safe and bright. I hear blue jays today as well. Stay safe, everybody!

“虹色の青カケス”

デッサンをしてデジタルで色をつけました。青カケス（ブルージェイ）は文字通り青い鳥ですが、虹色にしてみました。

青カケスの声は四六時中きこえてきます。だいたい「ジェイ、ジェイ」と鳴きます。頻繁に姿も見かけます。とても好奇心旺盛な鳥です。素早く近寄ってきて、近くの枝にとまります。なんとなく青カケスには親近感がわきます。いつも自然の中にいると近づいてきてくれる感じです。

青カケスはとても綺麗な色の鳥です。大半が青色ですが、白、黒、グレーが混ざっています。羽を見つけた時は特別に感じます。動きが早いので写真を撮るのは至難の技ですが、たまに上手くいきます。飛んでいる時は、自然の色が反射してたまに虹色に見えます。ですからこの絵を虹色にぬってみました。

わたしの主人はよく、「雨が降らなきゃ、虹がでない。」と言うのが口ぐせです。わたしのこの絵を見て主人の友人が「雨が降らなきゃ、虹色の青カケスはいない。」といいました。

世界中で色んなことが起こりすぎて、ポジティブでいるのも大変なことですよね。未来が安全で明るいものであることを願うばかりです。みなさん無事に過ごしてくださいね！
