Splinterlands- New Card Set Conclave Game.

The design of the new cards is different because speed is now located below health, which feels kind of strange but I guess it's just a matter of time before I get used to it. It's not like I'll be participating in the pre-sale either. I'll just loot them at max level because that's become the norm in Wild and Survival these days.

However, this is something that increases sales so it's inevitable that old cards will get weaker every time a new set is released. I'll try to compare some of the new cards with similar old cards. Thragha is a 4 mana rare death card that can act as a tank allowing a second tank to play behind it. It has 9 health and void but only 2 speed.

It has the new Painforge ability which will increase its attack when hit, while the Life Leach ability can help it gain a bit more health. At first glance this is a card that will always be picked in Little League.

At the same time with only 2 speed and no armor it's pretty weak. If anything, it feels like a card with acceptable and better balanced power creep.
