Obsidian | Splinterlands Art Contest Week 239
Hi Hivers, this week I chose Obsidian a normal earth type card for this week's #splinterlands contest. As an earth mage, I wanted to make it in a mountainous and cliffy environment with a simple composition.
Furthermore, I began as usual by posing the 3d clipstudio model at the angle and perspective I wanted. Initially, the arms were going to be in a different position, as I wanted her right hand to be looking for another arrow to reload, but I quickly discarded that idea and decided that she'd better be ready to launch.
This time I decided to use color immediately with the character. And I started to paint the different parts with tones, without saturation, changing some things by advanced in the process.
Already with the character sufficiently advanced, I started painting the rocky background, first adding the base tones and little by little building the details.
For the final part I continued polishing, I added lights and shadows, besides changing the crown to a kind of tiara, since I didn't like how it covered the hair, on top of that I added a noise layer and adjusted the tones and values.
I hope you liked it.
