"Robot-Samurai"

The 23rd century had arrived, and humanity had created a planetary confederation, which turned its attention to exploring deep space after over a century of being divided. As prosperity and living space expanded on nearby planets, the significance of internal conflicts over resources and politics decreased. However, the intense struggle for advantages persisted as humans encountered various alien civilizations, only a few of which were amenable to productive diplomacy.

Encounters with numerous non-trivial threats further fuelled the race among "earthlings" towards greater unification and consolidation of scientific and technical resources in the field of military technologies. Using quantum computers and artificial intelligence, ideal warriors were created who knew no fear or fatigue. They were named "robot-samurais" in honour of legendary warriors of the past, symbolizing humanity's desire for perfection in the fight for its prosperity.

The "robot-samurais" were semi-autonomous, and in critical moments, the most outstanding personalities could control them, while the bravest and most reckless created a symbiosis, becoming super-effective on the battlefield at the cost of abandoning their human bodies and way of life. The "robot-samurais" became the Confederation's most vital military asset, protecting its interests and resisting external threats.

The "robot-samurais" were the elite, with more rights than ordinary citizens...
