I am Comet NEOWISE.
I am a comet discovered by a space telescope in 2020.
My name was given in 2020.
I was named by NEOWISE mission.
My name came about as I was discovered by the NEOWISE space telescope program.
My name is an acronym for Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer.
An interesting fact is I am the brightest comet in the Northern Hemisphere since Hale-Bopp, visible to the naked eye in July 2020.
