I am Comet McNaught.
I am a bright comet discovered in 2006.
My name was given in 2006.
I was named by Robert H. McNaught.
My name came about since discovered by astronomer Robert H. McNaught during routine observations for the Siding Spring Survey.
I'm named after my discoverer, Robert H. McNaught.
An interesting fact is I was the brightest comet in over 40 years, visible in daylight near its perihelion.
