I am Comet Lovejoy.
I am a sungrazing comet discovered in 2011.
My name was given in 2011.
I was named by Terry Lovejoy.
My name came about as I discovered by Australian amateur astronomer Terry Lovejoy, named after him per IAU conventions.
My name is the surname of the discoverer, Terry Lovejoy.
An interesting fact is as a Kreutz sungrazer, I survived a close pass through the Sun's corona against expectations.
