Starlink, Moonlink and Marslink: Part 1 - Overview
Let's talk about V3 Starlink, Moonlink and Marslink.
SpaceX is targeting launching its third-generation satellites in the first half of 2026, therefore they could be ready for Moonlink and Marslink sometime after that.
These are launched using a Starship variant with a pez-dispenser system.
These V3 Starlink satellites are the logical ones to use for Moonlink and Marslink due to being deployed by Starship and their greater capabilities.
Starlink - Satellite Communication on Earth
Starlink is an already well used and proven communications system here on Earth. Until now, it has deployed a large set of smaller satellites providing fast, reliable internet around the globe.
The V3 Starlink satellites are much large and only deployable by Starship. They have a much greater capacity to expand the networks overall capability.
This makes then useful beyond just Earth.
