Datum- The decentralized data marketplace.

Hello everyone, it's me again with a review on yet another ground-breaking blockchain project. The big companies we have now; facebook, google, twitter, and the rest...ever wondered how they acquire the funds to remain on top of their games and keep dominating. I know we have not exactly paid much attention but in summary, these companies remain on top of their game and dominating all because of us, users of the platform.

Data is being created every second of everyday and these data is being made used of without the consent of the data creators. When we surf the internet, tremendous amounts of data us being created and most times we do not even know it; when we make use of facebook, google, we create huge amounts of data which companies make use of to make huge fortunes and we the data creators get nothing. This trend has been going on for a long time but not anymore, thanks to the blockchain technology by the introduction of a data marketplace "Datum".
With the Datum platform, whenever a user creates data via the use of Facebook or Google, he/she would have full and complete control over it and might choose to sell or withhold unlike before that there wasn't even any options open to data creators. This means a whole lot, looking at it with a microscopic lens; the data marketplace invariably provides a means of income that is open to everyone as we all make use of the internet even if not all of us make use of Facebook.
Datum aims to transform the existing data marketplace from one whereby data creators are only paid once in a while and even if they get paid, the presence of intermediaries only make things worse instead of helping make things better.

Datum is the revolution data creators need; they now get to control every aspect of how the data they create gets used through the Datum Client. The Datum Client is that entity within the Datum network that ensures users have full control of all the data they create and also control over what happens to the data.

The Datum network is based on the blockchain technology, hence it built with the basis of trust, security and privacy. There is a need to ensure data requested from data creators would not be misused so Datum network places huge value on the kYC (Know your customer) verification method.
The Datum network would help put a stop to the trend of companies making use of data created by data creators without their consent. A huge amount of data keeps getting created every day and these data keep getting used up by companies with no compensation whatsoever paid to the creators but that is a thing of the past; Datum essentially points towards a more desirable future and this future would favour data creators and not just data creators but also data consumers as well as they would have access to high quality data from data creators.

Datum Network Token.
Datum token symbol is DAT with a total token supply of 3,000,000,000 DAT from which 51% which is equivalent to 1,530,000,000 DAT is allocated to the token sale, 29% is allocated as reserve fund and 20% is allocated to the Datum core developers. The softcap is set at 5,000 ETH with hardcap set at 61,200 ETH.

The funds generated during the tokensale is allocated as follows:
60% is allocated to the development of the ecosystem, 15% is allocated to marketing, 15% is allocated to operations, 5% is allocated to security and 5% to legal.
