PICKLED BANANA (BALAYANG!)

This pickled banana also known as balayang in ilocano. It was famous in Ilocos province, this is also my first time to taste this banana pickles and im telling you it was really good.This will be an appetizer for any kind of food but I can say that it will be a perfect combination on fried foods. This Balayang is a raw banana pickled in a special vinegar of Ilocos and left to ferment in a period of time. Try it at home and you will experience the sweet and sour taste of banana pickles!
