I was supposed to recreate Spain vs France 2:0 yesterday but I already had a post I wanted to drop so I just shifted it to today 😂 I saw Argentina also beat England 2:1 and I’ll do that recreation tomorrow. But today was for Spain vs France because that semi final was too nice. I set everything up on efootball — World Cup kits, real lineups, the stadium, even the commentary volume so it felt real. I didn’t want to just play any random match. I wanted it to feel like I was watching the actual game again but this time with me controlling.

From kickoff France looked off. Mbappe was the only one that showed up in attack. My guy was everywhere — dropping to pick the ball, trying to run defenders, cutting inside, shooting from far 😭 But nobody was linking with him. The other French players just stayed back and were passing sideways. I think conceding early really got to them. In the real match they came back strong sometimes, but in my recreation it was the same energy. Once Spain scored, France’s heads dropped. They were still pressing at 90+ minutes but it didn’t look dangerous. It was more like running for the sake of running. You could tell they didn’t have belief anymore. Spain on the other hand were calm, passing, moving France from side to side like it was training.

Now the goals are what blew my mind because they came exactly like the real match. First half, I worked the ball to the left, played a one-two and Oyarzabal slotted it in. Bro that’s exactly how he scored in the actual World Cup semi final. I shouted in my room 😂 Then second half, Pedro Porro made that overlap run on the right and I crossed it to him and he finished. 2:0, same scorers as real life. I was actually waiting for Merino to score because he’s Spain’s super sub and he always scores late goals 🙂 but he didn’t get the chance this time. France tried to respond. Mbappe had 2 chances, one was a good shot but my keeper saved it. Apart from that they couldn’t do anything. No creativity, no final pass.

Full time 2:0 and it was such an easy match, no stress at all. Spain just dominated possession and France couldn’t get into the game. Even at 2:0 up in a semi final Spain were still pushing at 90+ minutes like they needed more goals. That mentality is what won them the real match and it showed in my game too. I enjoyed it a lot because everything played out the same — same scoreline, same goal scorers, same story. It felt like I copied the match from YouTube 😁 Tomorrow I’ll do Argentina 2:1 England, but today’s Spain vs France recreation was perfect.
