Dynamic RC Delegation API Now Live
Hey, everyone! Resource Credits are required on Hive to perform transactions instead of paying fees. When you first join, you don't have any, and you need to either buy and stake Hive or have someone delegate them to you. For a new user, it's not very friendly to have to buy Hive right away, so with our Dynamic Resource Credit Delegation System, we temporarily provide them with enough RCs to interact with the platform.
In this clip:
- Resource Credit delegations for new users
- Dynamic delegation based on user activity
- API available for other UIs to integrate
The Dynamic Resource Credit Delegation works on an as-needed basis, increasing the delegation for active users and undelegating if they stop being active, then delegating again if they return to Hive.
There is an upper limit threshold, so if a user reaches that level, they are quite active, which means they should start buying Hive to perform an even greater number of transactions.
This API is already live for other UIs to integrate and start using right now. If they need help, they can reach out to me; also, there is documentation available for them to check out.
