Fear & Hope

Bright is the light,
Oh how it changes everything!
Yet shadows linger, deep within,
Whispering secrets of the night.

Deep skies full of stars,
Oh how it distances me!
Yet in their cosmic embrace, I find solace,
A celestial journey, through time and space.

Viscous is my soul,
Oh I'm afraid it'll never pour out!
But within its thickness, a universe resides,
A kaleidoscope of feelings, where destiny abides.

White noise in the background, a cosmic lullaby,
Remnants of the big bang, where galaxies fly.
Or perhaps it's the sad radio's song,
Echoing truths within, where I truly belong.

My reflection. That's not even me.
My projection. That's where I want to be.
A dichotomy of identity, a soul's endless quest,
In the space between mirrors, I seek what's best.

The echo within, my essence's beat,
An orchestra of uncertainties, a waltz so l337.
Yet within this symphony of chance, a soaring flight,
Harmony in chaos, weaving day into night.

That's the sound of my voice on old static tape,
Heavy and tragic, seeking answers to shape my fate.
But in the crackling whispers, I'll chart my own way,
Scripting destiny's verses, embracing the new day.

If I release these thoughts that bind,
I may end up a monster - mindless and blind.
Or perhaps in the crystal clearness of my third eye,
I'll find strength in vulnerability, a chance to truly fly.
