First, we will know what algae are. Due to the presence of pigments in the body, plants that are capable of reacting with carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight to produce sugary food are the ones known as algae. The range of algae science is wide. Algae science has a close relationship with various branches of science. In order to study all those branches of science, the science of algae must be studied. There is a relationship with algae science, agricultural science, oceanography, physical science, food science, industrial science, environmental science, medical science, etc. Algae science must be studied.

Contribution of Algae to Agricultural Science.

Algae have the greatest contribution in agriculture. Algae has been used to increase the fertility of land in agriculture since ancient times. Seaweed has been used to increase the fertility of agricultural land. Prevents soil erosion. Makes soil suitable for agriculture by forming and preserving new soil. That is why algae has such an important identity in the field of agriculture. Almost more than rain, blue green algae increase the fertility of the land by fixing the nitrogen in the air.

In different regions of the world, people use more than 100 species of different classes as food. One of them is brown algae. This brown algae is used as human food. Food called kombo is prepared in Japan from algae called laminiria. There are also many other types of algae that contain large amounts of vitamin B and vitamin C. In addition, these algae contain large amounts of protein and oil. There is an algae that humans eat and get nutrients from, known as Irish irises, which are widely used in making ice cream and other foods.

The role of algae in environmental science.

Garbage from houses and industrial factories in big cities pollutes the environment by mixing with the garbage. In this, the emergence of mosquitoes and the spread of diseases in the environment increases so much that various diseases spread at a very fast speed. Some of these algae in sewers carry out photosynthesis using carbon dioxide. Aerobic bacteria living in sewage survive by taking in carbon dioxide from photosynthesis. Vajra decomposes and mixes with air. This makes the environment livable by making it pollution free. So algae have a very important role in environmental science
