Making a Pencil Sketch

To every beautiful drawing,there is always a foundation to it.Just as in building a house,you start with the foundation.in art, the foundation is with outlining in other words referred to as sketch. To begin with in portrait drawing, to capture human resemblance, there is the need to scale your paper as seen below in the image

To make this, the best pencil to use is an HB graded pencil or mechanical pencil and also a ruler is needed.

After the paper has been scaled or grided,then the sketching of the outline starts and below are the progress images:
