Back to where I was happy.
Hello friends. Today I share with you some places in the neighbourhood where I spent my childhood. This is a love letter to my childhood to the inner child in me and a beautiful ticket to happy moments. It is also an exercise that I recommend when you feel that your essence is not so clear to yourself.
The perception of time changes with the years, you realise that years have passed from time to time, when you see a friend you had lost track of, one day in front of the mirror, when you see clothes you no longer wear or you return to a place that was familiar to you but that has not counted your steps for a long time.
I visited the place where I grew up. The pond where my grandfather taught me to throw stones so that they hit the water more than a couple of times before sinking. The long banks that served me as a catwalk while I thought I was a famous model. The tree that was my friend and taught me that it takes a lot of falls to reach the top. The ball field where I learned to make a team, to run very fast and to respect the feelings of my friends.
In a way those places are no longer the same, they no longer have children running and I am no longer there either. The grass has covered the roads, the children prefer technology and although I still feel like playing, I am an adult according to the laws, social norms and responsibilities.
But time has passed, my friends have changed as much as I have and my grandfather can no longer hold my hand.
Even so, I believe that all that is still alive, they occupy a space full of happiness and love in my memory. And my 40cm smaller version of me thanks me for having visited the places where I was so happy.
