An excellent word is "greet" for this week's ZAPFIC50 Friday challenge. The challenge by @felt.buzz presented the opportunity to delve into the negative aspect of the word that is typically meant a pleasant experience when meeting someone. The challenge is told is in exactly fifty (50) words. I hope you like my version.

My story is below:

Distributing name cards, Eric's hand trembled as cousin Leo approached.

Each recalled Eric's emergency room fiasco last summer.

Positioning water guns, Leo reached, threatened Round-2.

Eric advanced, feeling as if marching toward a firing squad.

He froze, then grabbed the metal grill spatula.

Leo lowered the plastic weapon, realizing defeat.

«Saludar» es una palabra excelente para el reto ZAPFIC50 de este viernes. El reto propuesto por @felt-buzz me ha brindado la oportunidad de explorar el aspecto negativo de una palabra que, por lo general, se asocia a una experiencia agradable al conocer a alguien. El reto consiste en expresarlo en exactamente cincuenta (50) palabras. Espero que os guste mi versión.

A continuación mi historia.

El matón de la barbacoa del jardín

Mientras repartía tarjetas de visita, a Eric le temblaba la mano al acercarse su primo Leo.

Ambos recordaban el fiasco de Eric en urgencias el verano pasado.

Leo apuntó con las pistolas de agua y amenazó con una segunda ronda.

Eric avanzó, sintiéndose como si marchara hacia un pelotón de fusilamiento.

Se quedó paralizado y, acto seguido, agarró la espátula metálica de la parrilla.

Leo bajó el arma de plástico, dándose cuenta de su derrota.
