ULOG #120: bitLanders C-Blogging about Philippine Eagles
Reading about the Philippine Eagles before in our textbooks and hearing about them on News most especially the case of Pamana's death was just information which came into my ears and eyes but they also went out, exit as nothing had happened.
However, when @panoramicview and I went to Davao City last week, we realized how hard the Philippine Eagle Foundation and its center work to conserve our national treasure.
Here are two of the images I took during our visit:
These are juvenile eagles which are on display at the exhibit area in the Philippine Eagle Center.
Our Philippine Eagles are one of the strongest and biggest birds in the entire world. It is critically endangered due to different reasons such as deforestation, hunting and even due to lack of education and information about these birds.
This is a special animal in our country as having one tells how balanced the ecosystem is in that certain area. Today, there are only 400 pairs out in the wild and they are in danger of those who are hunting and shooting them down.
Because of the information I have learned about the Philippine Eagles, I have created several blogs about them on my bitLanders account and also even created a Querlo Blog talking about how we as ordinary citizens can help in conserving them.
