Matti Gets a Haircut

This is a throwback from 2021 when we visited Matti's grandparents in Oslob, Cebu. I remembered I took some photos because we are currently here in Oslob right now and we are planning again to cut his hair. Matti got his straight hair from his father, he got nice straight hair too and I am just glad Matti didn't inherit my wavy, dry hair.

Anyway, in the photos, it was his grandfather whom he calls Tatay who cut his hair. The back part was already long and he scratches his neck often that's why we decided to cut it. He was still very calm then when he realized that there were scissors on his back, he started crying, calling his papa!

He was held by his grandmother whom he calls Nanay. They took his shirt and bottoms off and put powder so the hair won't stick to his skin. We ended up playing Cocomelon on the phone so he would stop crying. His cousin Ate Zia was watching him. Glad that Zia doesn't have long hair yet, she got curly ones instead.

Today, we are again thinking of cutting his hair because they are now a bit longer. I wonder if he would still be crying?
