Titan Dogs - Colors

Hey guys,

Here is some progress on Titan dogs, my own furry NFT collection.

I finally completed the coloring and shading of each element. Now I'm getting to the fun part: Combining them all together!

The way I see it, each character has a base color (Black for the killer Chihuahua above), one pattern that can be applied to any element (camouflage above) and up to two main colors (Yellow and orange for the Dalmatian below).

The background color would need to match one of the main colors.

I split the arms layer into left and right arm. That way arms can now have asymmetric designs. Nice!

So what now?

Exporting

I am working on the script to generate every possible combinations of layers and colors.

I had done it already for HTML canvas but in order to use it I would need to extract, from Photoshop, every single layer separately. It really added up with the various patterns and all the color combinations so that would be time consuming and would defeat the purpose of automation.

I saw that you can load javascript code directly into Photoshop to manipulate the extraction process so I'll be using that instead.

Reaching out

With the art ready, I can easily send samples of the collection to my NFT market of choice to be whitelisted. The ones I have seen asked for that.

I have purchased the titandogs site and I'll be adding a photo gallery of various combination for teasing and demonstration.

Expanding

This step would depend on the appeal of people for the project. But I can see two ways this project can expand.

First off, I could be adding a character customiser on the website, allowing users to add newly minted elements to their NFT. New elements such as, new dogs, cute dog wear, new titan parts, patterns, graffitis, etc...

Then, I could be working on a simple Titan dogs game, so that users can position their customized NFT in a battlefield for a weekly turn based cooperative strategy game, where you would scavenge the city for new gear, squash some bugs and level up by saving humans and completing objectives.

Probably not in 3D like miniaturena, to avoid getting into 3D modelling but either 2D top down view or 2D isometric... I'll hit you up with a prototype when I get to that point.

I think sharing the progress through blogs and on youtube can really spike up the interest for the NFT.

I have lots of ideas on that part so I'll be sure to share some more in future blogs.

Any ideas are welcome. Thanks for passing by

See you on the other side,

Jrej
