THE EDO BEAUTY
Hello everyone!
Been a while since I last posted here.. I've been a little too busy these past few days and so... I'm back to share some of my work with y'all. Today I bring to Y'all what I call the EDO BEAUTY from benin Nigeria.
Beautifully adorned in her red velvet dress, with multiple coral beads as necklaces and the beaded headpiece(okuku) are all traditional elements of the Edo bridal attire.
The coral beads represents wealth royalty and tradition. While the okuku (beaded crown) stands for a High-status woman.
The colour red represents good fortune, prosperity and power. Now this attire is common seensee during traditional edo wedding, chieftaincy titles or benin Royal ceremonies.
