MISSING COMPONENT IN EDUCATION TODAY

One critical missing component of typical education today is a focus on the development of Emotional Intelligence.

You have probably heard of it. It ultimately has to do with the empowerment phase necessary for creation of self expressed, balanced freethinking individuals. It is the only avenue for 'real' education and intelligence. This is opposed- as you know to disempowerment. The oppressive force that retards the expression of individual thought.

People who are achieved in emotional intelligence can actually put knowledge/intellect to work effectively.

Listening to Joseph Chilton Pearce recently taught me fascinatingly- more. Did you know there are more neurons in the heart than in the head? The ramifications of this fact makes the heart, not the head- the seat of intelligence. The head/brain is 'merely' the processor of intellect- not intelligence.

Those with limited experience in connecting with their heart accumulate intellect in the left brain while the right brain gets lost in detachment. Only the wisdom of the heart puts knowledge in context and gives meaning.
Connections become lost due to fragmented understanding. Is it any wonder that the retention rate in coercive (head centered) institutional educational system today is 3%!

As coursework was taught in fragmented ways- so goes the confused, undeveloped in emotional intelligence with no link and disempowered- not knowing why. By designing the modern-cultural aspects of education devoid of relevant connection with emotional intelligence, modern culture is, by-design neutered. Devoid of the tools necessary for its' own empowerment. . Something critical to us all, at such rapidly transitory times. We must evolve and Adapt. We cannot do it any of us without other.

Another even more fascinating fact to come of current heart research is that our hearts, our very being are inexorably connected. We cannot do to another without effecting everything including ourselves.. If only the seemingly sociopathic whales of the world would get this.

An immediate good first step for us all domesticated cows is a degree of Unschooling. We all have this responsibility to our future. We are all teachers and guards of freethought and real intelligence. Help with emphasis and inclusion to real learning for real intelligence on how to bring E.I. and heart centered education to the masses.
