The system out there is designed to SCAM you!

2026 reminds me of 2023; drab, dull, chaotic, unmotivating and well......... After getting robbed in February life felt like a rat race again. The plan was to setup up something good for the year, but life happened and I lost all the money I wanted to use to do that, through a wallet scam I didn't even know how it happened.

So after what I've tried a few opportunities, thrown in a few cash here and there, trying to come up with something nice and only ended up wasting money completely.

The person I worked with owed me over $2000 and refused to pay the money, got the payment for the job I did and decided to sit on the money, but then, we never really had any legal or written document that was signed and because of that, it was easy to make away with my money, but that's the life of the freelance space. Working with and trusting complete strangers in the line of business.

In the process of doing some research ro acquire some skills, I've seen fraudulent people who are trying to farm their ways into wealth. They meet with you, tell you they have some skills or hack they're selling only to end up scamming you.

So basically I've taken my time to find some of the things I need by myself, because let's be factual, there are more scammers on the Internet than real people, and I've met with a lot more scammers than real people, it's insane that the Internet is this way.

Hive (Solves)

I think this is one problem that Hive actually solves. I think a lot of us on this chain do not realize that we're a gathering of the "REALEST" people on the Internet.

90% of the people you'll meet here are true, their blogs tells a realistic story that reveals the person behind the profile picture. This isn't the same with Facebook, tiktok or Twitter.

I'm not saying we don't have scammers on Hive, we actually did and still do, my point is that scammers do not have pedigree here.

We have ways of smearing their scam persona on that, so much that it'll be visible to see.

So basically exploring as a native Hive person across other social apps means that you'll easily come in contact with big time scammers. Since 2024 I've veered off the chain and honestly mostly of the gains I had or made were stolen by people I directly or indirectly know and then burn by the mechanisms I wasn't aware of.

Perhaps Hive is undervalued in this regard

So one of the scam was being a victim of scam contracts. You know, tech bros taking advantage of the weakness in ETH scam contracts. They say any wallet that has a key is vulnerable to being hacked, but honestly I've been on Hive for over 8 years and I've never been hacked or burned and we actually have KEYS as a means to accessing our accounts here.

So basically the designs we set or have in place is better than whatever ETH has. Maybe this is because we weren't initially designed to be a doorway to other smart contract projects and all that.

My point is, the product out there, the people in charge, the systems are all designed to scam and deceive you, even though you're exposed to opportunities, as a newbies or someone looking to explore money-making opportunities, the system is automatically created to scam you and that's currently the new reality. I had to fall for this a lot to realize this.
